Project Anjali is a dream that is turning into a five-year reality. Anjali is a cross disability endeavor at integration, inclusion and opportunities galore for pursuing artistic and cultural abilities. It is all about soaring high above prejudice on the wings of harmony and love, releasing the creativity from within and illuminating the universality of Human spirit. Thrust Areas: Project Anjali aims at the holistic development of artistic skills, be it in the field of music, dance, drama or art and hence it conducts four workshops, that are interactive and inclusive with mainstream children - Dance workshop, Music workshop, Theatre workshop and Art and craft workshop. Resource persons excelling in these fields come down to train and interact with the aspirants. Anjali has a troupe of Odissi dancers- Differently abled children and mainstream youngsters who have trained in integrated dance ballet, under Smt. Aruna Mohanty, an eminent Odissi dancer herself. Anjali also provides scholarships to talented youngsters to pursue their career in art, music and dance. All these activities are done in a 4-5 day colourful and cheerful camp away from their daily routine, where interaction, learning and enjoyment know no boundaries. Other Achievements : Cross disability integration Integration of disabled and non-disabled children Integration of rural and urban children Anjali Scholarships: This scholarship is awarded to talented disabled students for professional training in their chosen career of dance, music and fine arts. In 2001 we awarded five scholarships and in 2002 six. |
